A joint program of the Source of Light Center, San Antonio, Texas, and the School of Wisdom at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, San Marcos, Texas.
Via Zoom on Sunday evenings,
Fr. Thomas Berry wrote that we need a "new story." This program aims to help us form a story of enlivenment, aliveness, abundant life (John 10:10). Enlivenment manifests from the divinity in relationship lived in love, community, creativity, fulfillment, mutuality, peace, and a deeply tangible spirituality.
Catherine Keller, Ph.D. is the George T. Cobb Professor of Constructive Theology in the Theological School and Graduate Division of Religion of Drew University. She is the author of nine books on "theology as a relation between ancient hints of ultimacy and current matters of urgency." (from her website)
The first evening will be a discussion about enlivenment with Catherine and her former student, Dr. Dhawn Martin, Executive Director of the Source of Light Center in San Antonio.
The second evening will consist first of a panel discussion plus question and answer time with three people who manifest enlivenment in their professional work. Those are Dhawn Martin, in her ministry with the Source of Light Center; Kaare Remme, a rancher who practices enlivenment as restoration ranching; and Jim Kimmel, a cultural ecologist, teacher, and writer.
The final part of the second evening will be spent in small groups to develop a personal vision of enlivenment.
The third evening will consist of a workshop to learn methods to communicate the new vision.
