Health and Wellness: The Do’s and Don’ts of Weight Loss with Dr. Nazli Uppal

Tuition: $20 before Feb 1, $25 after (scholarships available)

The course will be divided into three sections, with the goal of making weight loss simple, understandable, and enjoyable.  

CLASS 1

  1. Why has my weight loss plateaued?

  2. Why have I gained all the weight I lost?

  3. How do I maintain my weight?

CLASS 2

1.     What are carbs, proteins, and fats?

2.     BAD foods! GOOD foods??

CLASS 3

1.     How does my weight affect my health?

2.     Do weight loss meds work?

3.     Will weight loss surgery help?

 

Nazli Uppal, M.D., was born in Pakistan, from where she received her medical degree. She moved to the United States in 1992 for further training. Dr. Uppal completed her residency at Newark Beth Israel and moved to San Antonio in 2003. She is a board-certified physician in Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine, and has been practicing for over 20years. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling, and stamp collecting. She runs a Facebook group called Metabolic Class, which educates and empowers it more than 1000 members on managing their weight and lifestyles.
