Explore the topics of race and justice as depicted in three novels and a movie. We will read and discuss Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult, The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew, and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. We will also watch the movie The Hate U Give during the last class.

Sibi Aydelott holds a doctoral degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has taught in the United States, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar. She has also worked as a Curriculum Consultant. She moved to San Antonio in 2010.
