Across five Sundays, we will study, break bread together, and discuss Angela Duckworth’s book, Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance. Each week we will dive into one or two chapters, exploring Duckworth’s insights on how a mix of passion and perseverance, which she labels “grit,” combine to foster success and resilience. A different member of the group will be asked to lead that week’s discussion. Co-sponsored by our friends at the Raindrop Foundation San Antonio and the Dialogue Institute, this group is organized by Fatma Arslan, Sumeyra Tek, Dhawn Martin.

Dr. Fatma Arslan teaches electrical engineering at UTSA and is a leader in the Dialogue Institute of the Southwest. Sumeyra Tek is a Physics instructor at UTSA and a volunteer at Raindrop Foundation San Antonio. Dr. Dhawn Martin is the SoL Center’s Executive Director.
