He is the author of essays and articles on education in the ancient world as well as on the Acts of the Apostles, ancient narrative, and Greek classical traditions. He is co-editor of Reading

Acts in the Second Century (2012) and most recently, Reading and Teaching Ancient Fiction (2018).
